In the last several years, the folks have witnessed tremendous changes in manufacturing & selling sector of textile goods and services. Being a fashion and textile design graduate from NIFT and a textile industry professional, would like to take forward an initiative to provide ethical fashionable lifestyle accessories across the globe. Considering this, we have taken Jute fibre and manufacturing jute products to use it in a very innovative and creative manner as it has so much to be explored even as of yet. Aside from deciding on what type of materials to use, we do well-researched product development processes to make innovative economical merchandise.
Jute produced from the Corchorus Olitorius family of plants is a very long, soft and shiny vegetable fibre which can be spun into strong threads. The fibres composed of cellulose and lignin are off- white to brown in colour and 1-4 meters in height. The monsoon season when temperatures ranges from 20˚C to 40˚C and relative humidity of 70%–80% is favourable for successful cultivation of jute. Jute is one of the most affordable natural fibres, and second only to cotton in the amount produced and variety of uses.
Needs Less Water
Being a natural fibre product, jute grows with a very less amount of water. Hence it is a great crop for water conservation.
Grows Quickly
Jute season spreads across the year for around a hundred days which leads to the constant and quick supply of fiber.
Lowers Burden on Natural Oil Reserves
As Plastic is made from petroleum resources, Jute products will reduce the burden on these oil reserves.
Cleans The Air
Researches found that jute plants can absorb tons of carbon dioxide and release tons of oxygen during the jute season.
Reduces Plastic Pollution
Using jute bags reduces the need for plastic bags resulting in less plastic pollution.
Biodegradable
After usage, jute can be composted in a landfill and it breakdown naturally with no ill effects.
Less Pesticides Needed
Jute requires very less amount of chemicals like fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides thus reducing soil pollution.
Higher Production Than Cotton
Jute is one of the most affordable natural fibers, and second only to cotton in the amount produced and variety of uses.
Recyclable
It can be recycled multiple numbers of times leading to a longer reusability period.
Improves Soil Quality
as Plastic is made from petroleum resources, Jute products will reduce the burden on these oil reserves.
